So sorry to hear of your troubles, Rebecca. Obviously it will take time to come to terms with such a life-changing situation, and it's bound to make you feel depressed and worried for your future. You've been given lots of sound advice, and I can't add to it, only to say do keep on posting, we are here for you, we can empathise with you and hopefully give you some support.

Hi Rebecca

Such a sad time for you right now. Having your parents close by must be a real help and comfort to you. I can't really add anything to what has already been said but understand a little of what you say having been through a divorce in similar circumstances myself.

John's advice to hold fire on a divorce is sound, don't rush into making long term decisions right now. Here's the link for Disability Living Allowance (DLA) . It is available to people who need help or supervision with personal care or have walking difficulties, whether in employment or not. I don't know whether you will qualify for this, but am sure NRAS will be able to advise you of what is available. Things have changed completely since I was at work!

Hope things improve for you soon. Please try to be positive and keep postingSmile
